|Summary||0005966: Desert Strike - gfx glitch in Intro and Map (in-game)|
|Description||Probably due too fast emulation on WinUAE (even though I tried up to 020!), the intro has some problems with circular fade-out effect too fast, leaving also some trashed lines/pixels on the left border, upper and lower part.|

Also in-game map has too fast flashing objects unless I degrade emulation speed.
If I remember well also my real A1200+060 had the same issues many years ago.

|Mmmh, just tested again with basic A1200+4MB fast mode (WinUAE) from IPF disk files, and still happens... emulator issue?|
|A500 mode: 1.3ROM, OCS, 512+512KB Slow ram. NO issue!|
All right... it was a WinUAE video Filter options bug when using Fullscreen (MAX)/(TV) or Integer. Using Default is all right:
uae-configuration gfx_filter_autoscale auto

|I tested this on WinUAE yesterday evening and I noticed that nothing and no one would attack me, and turrets would spin around. Then when I fire a bullet at them they then take offence and start shooting back.|
Mmmh, I noticed the same but thought it might have been just because was the first level ('Air Superiority'), then tested the old slave 3.3 DesertStrike_512k_chip.slave and indeed enemies are aggressive as expected!
Possible bug in 4.0 disabling some copy protection fixes by accident?

No problems so far but i only did a 5 minute test of the new version.
The only thing i wish would be available is
the MAP on the SPACEBAR !!! (if 2 or buttons are used)
... or mybe Enter or Retun but not 0.
|I think we need to open a specific tracker issue for the 'harmless enemies' bug with slave 4.0 or JOTD won't read it. This one is virtually closed since it wasn't a real bug but a problem of extended overscan normally invisible on real TVs in the good old days (and actually a bug in the original game).|
