Requirements:
-------------
This install requires WHDLoad and RawDIC to be in the path.
These programs can be found in the WHDLoad package.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed demo requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+0.4 MB OtherMem for preload).
(AGA version needs 1.5 MB ChipMem)
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
Features:
---------
- Full load from HD (real files!)
- Illegal bitplane pointers fixed (x9)
- Interrupts fixed
- Access fault (long write to $dff066) fixed
- Decruncher (PowerPacker) relocated to fast memory
- Bplcon0 color bit fixes (x27)
- Wrong copperlist entries (Clxcon) fixed
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Source code included as usual
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10')
Loved this demo back in the day and still do hence I patched it.
It has been on my "needs to be done one day" list for quite a while already.
Magician Lord's code is quite nice but patching the demo still took quite
some time, after about 4 hours everything was done. Mainly the "BBS advert"
part with the zooming BBS names/numbers took me a while to fix as there
were quite some copperlist problems.
The demo features an extra part if AGA is detected, if you have an A1200
or A4000 and want to see this part you can choose to install the AGA version.
Enjoy this nice demo from HD, excellent style (which aged VERY well!), great
music by Hollywood and nice effects!
Too bad Antony (Magician Lord) doesn't remember any 68k asm these days, would
be nice to see some new Amiga demos from him. :)
