Hm,cant reproduce that. Tried it multiple times with an 68020 AGA setup (and fpga)
No freeze. Where did you get it from ? (i use the Retroplay package myself)
(tried the english and german package - no feeze)
i also attached the savefile, so folks can test it right away.

Can you test this in WinUAE? I don't have real hardware. The same thing happens every time. In the chapel: walk to the priest, then back, forward, turn around — and the game freezes. The music keeps playing, the mouse moves normally, but the game doesn't respond. The heart beating icon in the corner has stopped. |

I'm still testing this game. If I make a save in the chapel (before going to the priest) and the game freezes, then press F10 to quit and load the game again from that save (in the chapel), the game doesn't freeze anymore.
You have to save the game before entering the code for the 3rd studio. Then go quickly through the graveyard by clicking the mouse button, go to the priest, go back, turn around — if you repeat this a few times, the game will freeze.
(The game works normally if it is installed traditionally from disk images.) |

I did test it in Winue (newest version) and also on Mist/er FPGA.

Did also your description, step by step, multiple times and also uploaded the save file (which is usally the job of the reporter) ;)
I´m checking out at this point. Sorry....
Maybe someone can reproduce it, but i cant; it just never freezes!

also, turn off JIT in WinUAE - that sh.t makes zero sense for normal games and is more harm then good.
