works fine here. I had a problem on startup though: Guru because I used 68020 XPK decruncher on a 68000.
(whdload logo shows then GURU)

Otherwise game works fine on a 68000. I could visit a few rooms, type commands...
The game is uses kickemu (1.3). Apart from an odd word/long read in the whdload slave to patch the game, nothing bad can happen on a 68000.

Is it possible to fix the Guru on startup then?

There is no problem for me here. The problem came from XPK-packed files, and the use of 68020+ decruncher.
Can you check your data files to see if they have "XPKF" at the start? If so, try to decrunch them using XFDDecrunch.

I don't know if they are packed with XPK i downloaded the preinstalled version from http://www.whdownload.com/games/Update-2007-12-20/LesManleyInSearchForTheKing_v1.1.zip

Doesn't seem packed. But new slave works, old slave gurus. Closing the bug, updating the slave on whdload page
