Requirements:
-------------
This install requires WHDLoad to be in the path.
It can be found in the WHDLoad package.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed diskmag requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+0.6 MB OtherMem for preload).
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
Features:
---------
- Full load from HD
- All OS stuff patched (file loading, trackdisk)
- DMA wait in replayer fixed (x2)
- Byte write to volume register in replayer fixed
- Keyboard routine fixed
- Intro can be skipped with CUSTOM1
- Bplcon0 color bit fixes (x4)
- Illegal copperlist entries fixed (x728)
- File loader fixed (Open instead of Close called)
- Interrupts fixed
- Decruncher (ByteKiller) relocated to fast memory and error check added
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Source code included as usual
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10')
Here's yet another patch for a diskmag created by yours truly.
Code is more or less fine so it wasn't that much work. Worth
mentioning is that most of the files were loaded with a trackdisk
loader which handles files, not too common for 1990 and most probably
done because the coder couldn't find out how to load files with
dos.library when the system is killed, the lot of "try to restore
level 2 interrupt" routines are also a clear sign of that.
There was a somewhat amusing bug in the file loader, instead of
calling Close() after reading the file data the coder called Open()
again. No idea what he was thinking. :)
The nice intro is supported, if you want to skip it you can use
the CUSTOM1 tooltype.
Enjoy the mag from HD and have a nice weekend everyone.
