This install applies to "Brutal Football" © 1993 Millennium.
Requirements:
-------------
This install requires WHDLoad and DIC to be in the path.
These programs can be found in the WHDLoad package.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed game requires:
OCS version: 1.0 MB ChipMem (+1.8 MB for preload)
AGA version: 2.0 MB ChipMem (+2.6 MB for preload)
installed Kickstart 3.1 ROM
CD32 version: 2.0 MB ChipMem (+2.6 MB for preload)
installed Kickstart 3.1 ROM
lowlevel.library in LIBS:
The game can be quit by pressing DEL (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
Features:
---------
- Full load from HD
- Memory detection fixed
- Decruncher relocated to fast memory
- Access fault fixed
- Supports OCS, AGA and CD32 version
- Source code included as usual
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'Del')
And another one I can remove from my evergrowing todo list. The patch
for the OCS version was requested back in 2010 by tomead. The OCS version
didn't work correctly on a lot of machines due to a very bad extension
memory check, f.e. it detected wrong memory locations on 1MB chip machines.
I had a first version finished a few days later which worked fine but didn't
have 68000 quit key support. Then I got incredibly busy at work and didn't
have time for any WHDLoad patching.
Now, 2 years later, I finally added the 68000 quit key support and also relocated
the decruncher. Once that was done I noticed that people had problems with the
already existing patch for the AGA version. Mostly it was mentioned that the game
runs very slow so I decided to redo the patch for the AGA version from scratch
too. Except for one access fault that happened after a goal was scored there were
no major problems. I have tested the AGA version on my A4000 and it works fine,
I didn't notice any slow downs.
Enjoy this very nice game from HD now.
