This install applies to "Sound De Light" © 1989 Software of Sweden.
This install requires WHDLoad and RawDIC to be in the path.
These programs can be found in the WHDLoad package.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed demo requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+0.7 MB for preload).
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
- Full load from HD (real files!)
- DMA settings fixed
- Interrupts fixed (direct ROM access)
- DMA wait in replayer fixed (x9)
- Byte write to volume register in replayer fixed (x11)
- Self-modifying code fixed
- Timing fixed
- Bplcon0 color bit fixes (x11)
- Decruncher (ByteKiller) relocated to fast memory and error check added
- ButtonWait support for loader picture
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Source code included as usual
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10')
This music disk contains some nice old tunes which was reason enough for
me to patch it. Originally the demo only worked on Kickstart 1.2 machines
due to direct ROM calls to enable/disable the vertical blank code.
The code is rather strange anyway, instead of using one replay routine all
songs contain the replayer which meant each of them had to be patched
separately. A bit of "intelligent" code solved that problem quickly though.
Not much more to say, have fun with the demo from HD and enjoy the last
summer days (excellent weather here!).
