This install applies to "Human Target" 1992 Melon Dezign.
This install requires WHDLoad and RawDIC to be in the path.
These programs can be found in the WHDLoad package.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed demo requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+0.7 MB OtherMem for preload).
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
- Full load from HD (real files!)
- Byte write to $dff043 fixed (x5)
- Wrong 'copper NOP' values fixed (x2)
- DMA wait in replayer fixed (x8)
- Timing fixed
- Hidden part can be enabled with CUSTOM1
- Interrupts fixed
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Source code included as usual
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10')
Ok, here's another patch I have completely redone, in this case it was
more than necessary as the old patch, to put it mildly, wasn't exactly
good. Except for the loader nothing had been patched so all problems the
demo has on faster CPU's weren't fixed! To add insult to the injury the demo
even crashed at the end! In a way that was a good thing as otherwise I would
not have looked at this patch at all!
Today I spent some hours and created a proper patch! You will have
to reinstall the demo as the patch now uses real files! I have fixed all
line drawing routines as they all used byte writes to $dff043. The replayers
had the usual DMA wait bugs which I have fixed too of course. One other
major bug were 2 completely wrong copperlist instructions, coder's intention
was to use copper NOPs but instead he had used completely wrong opcodes for
that! Lots of interrupts had to be fixed as well and some timing fixes had
to be applied too.
I have also added support for the hidden part, you can enable it
If you want to save some space you can compress all files in the "data"
directory with any of the crunchers supported by WHDLoad (FImp, Propack etc.)
Enjoy this classic properly from HD now!
