This install applies to "Megademo" © 1989 Freedom Force.
Requirements:
-------------
This install requires WHDLoad and RawDIC to be in the path.
These programs can be found in the WHDLoad package.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed demo requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+0.7 MB for preload).
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
Features:
---------
- Full load from HD (real files!)
- Decrunchers (ByteKiller) relocated to fast memory and error check added
- All OS stuff patched (AllocMem, copperlist setup)
- DMA wait in replayer fixed (x8)
- Byte write to volume register in replayer fixed (x14)
- Self-modifying code fixed
- Interrupts fixed
- Timing fixed
- Reset at end of demo patched to quit WHDLoad
- ButtonWait supported for loader
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Source code included as usual
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10')
Early Megademo from Finland here which is still enjoyable. If you
like scrollers that is. :) Code is more or less OK but a few things
had to be fixed such as the usual replayer bugs, interrupt acknowledging,
timimg on fast machines and stuff like that. Last part used AllocMem which
had to be replaced too but that wasn't much of a problem. I have also
added support for the ButtonWait tooltype, if you enable it the next
part will be started once you press right mouse button.
There also was a bug regarding the loader part, after the first part
it wasn't displayed (black screen), I have fixed this too in this patch.
The last part kills the loader part as it is loaded to the same address
so there will be a black screen during decrunching.
All parts were crunched with ByteKiller, I have relocated all decrunchers
to fast memory and added an error check, if decrunching fails WHDLoad
will quit with an appropriate error message.

Have a nice weekend everyone and enjoy yet another classic demo from HD.
