This install applies to "Muzzax 1" © 1989 Byterapers.
Requirements:
-------------
This install requires WHDLoad and DIC to be in the path.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed demo requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+0.9 MB OtherMem for preload).
It can be quit by pressing Del (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
Features:
---------
- Full load from HD
- Modulo bug in title screen fixed
- OS stuff patched
- Self-modifying code fixed
- DMA wait in replayer fixed
- Byte write to volume register fixed
- Interrupt and DMA settings fixed
- Keyboard handling improved
- ButtonWait support for title screen
- All decrunchers (ByteKiller) relocated to fast memory and error check added
- Interrupts fixed
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Source code included as usual
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'Del')
This is the first part of a classic music disk series! Code is quite
OK for its age, not too much had to be fixed. I have added ButtonWait
support for the title screen, if enabled the screen will be shown until
left mouse button has been pressed. The title screen only worked on
OCS machines due to modulo bugs, these are fixed of course.
I have also improved the keyboard handling, the keys are now checked using
a level 2 interrupt so the originally used keyboard delay in the demo
is not needed anymore and has been disabled.
All tunes are crunched with ByteKiller, I have relocated the decruncher
to fast memory and added an error check, if decrunching fails WHDLoad
will quit with an appropriate error message.
Enjoy the music disk from HD.
