This install applies to "Scene Talk" © 1992 Submission.
This install requires WHDLoad and DIC to be in the path.
These programs can be found in the WHDLoad package.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed mag requires 512k ChipMem (+880k for Preload).
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
- Full load from HD
- DMA wait in replayer fixed (x4)
- Access fault fixed (uninitalised pointer in keyboard routine)
- Decruncher relocated to fast ram and optimised
- Keyboard handler added
- Interrupt problems fixed
- Bplcon0 color bit fixes (x9)
- BUTTONWAIT tooltype supported (for title picture)
- NewIcon (created by me, if you have better icons freel free to send them)
- Source included
- Quit option (default key is 'F10')
Here's the very first (but definitely not the last) WHDLoad patch for
a diskmag done by yours truly. I enjoyed reading Scene Talk back in
the day thus I simply had to make a patch. The code is quite clean
so it wasn't much work. I have relocated the decruncher and since
I didn't really like the code I couldn't help it and optimised it,
more or less just for fun. Coder's disease I guess. :)
If the title picture disappears too fast you can use the 'BUTTONWAIT'
tooltype, then you have to press either mouse button to skip it.
Enjoy Scene Talk from HD now.
Greetings to all in Scarab and Scoopex, the WHDLoad team, PMC,
