Author: Codetapper/Action (firstname.lastname@example.org), ICQ: 26051687
Uploader: Codetapper/Action (email@example.com)
This patch applies to "Pandora" (c) 1988 Firebird - 1 disk.
Thanks to Twistin' Ghost for sending the original!
- Slave requires WHDLoad V10+ and RawDIC
- Game requires 512k chip mem (+360k other memory for preload option)
- Full load from HD
- Decruncher relocated to fast memory
- Keyboard routine fixed
- Empty DBF loops fixed (x3)
- Instructions included
- Title music slowed down with beam delay
- Game file can be compressed to save space (FImp, Propack etc)
- RomIcon, NewIcon, OS3.5 Colour Icon (created by me!) and 2 Exoticons
(taken from http://exotica.fix.no)
- Quit option (default key is 'F10')
The title music played about five times too quickly on my A1200 and this
took a lot of work to track it down! I have added a busy beam delay into
the title sequence which seems to eat up enough DMA time so that the tune
now plays at a reasonable speed. If the tune is too fast or slow on your
Amiga, please send me a detailed bug report and I'll try and improve it.
I tried running the game using WinUAE on my 2Ghz PC and it runs far too
quickly! Hopefully the standard Amiga custom chip speed will mean it runs
OK on all real Amigas. (To play it using an emulator you will have to
play around with the chipset and CPU settings).
If you compress the Disk.1 file you will reduce the memory requirements
from 360k to about 160k!
Greetings to Twistin' Ghost, Captain^Hit, Carlo, Chris, Adrian, Frank,
Amigaboy, all Action members and the WHDLoad team!
