This install applies to "Dance Diverse Vol.1" © 1993 Majic 12.
Requirements:
-------------
This install requires WHDLoad and RawDIC to be in the path.
These programs can be found in the WHDLoad package.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed demo requires 0.5 MB ChipMem and 0.5 MB OtherMem
(+0.9 MB for preload)
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
Features:
---------
- Full load from HD (real files!)
- Memory detection fixed
- All OS stuff patched/recoded (vertical blank and CIA interrupts)
- Decrunchers (custom PowerPacker) relocated to fast memory
- CUSTOM1 can be used to enable hidden part
- CUSTOM2 can be used to select song that is played after loading
- DMA wait in replayer fixed (x8)
- Out of bounds blit in line drawer fixed
- Source code included as usual
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10')
Another one of the "arrived at work and started the day with some
fun coding" patches. Made it this morning at work and had a fully
finished patch after about 2 hours. The memory detection used the
usual mirror tricks (and some "interesting" ID's were used which
I will not reveal here, check the code yourself) but was fixed quickly.
The interrupts (CIA/VBI) in the demo used OS functions (AddIntServer)
so I had to recode them using the hardware.
Back home I added support for the CUSTOM2 tooltype as in my opinion
a music disk should not start in silent mode.
CUSTOM2 allows you to select a tune that is played after the music
disk has been loaded, you can choose any of the 6 songs as argument
for the CUSTOM2 tooltype.
F.e. CUSTOM2=2 will start with song 2, CUSTOM2=5 will start with song 5.
If you don't like this feature (it is turned off by default) and don't
use it the music disk will not play any song after the menu has been loaded.
If you want to see the hidden part you can use CUSTOM1=1 which will
enable it. In the original demo it was activated by pressing caps lock
before booting, after the hidden part had been loaded turning off
caps lock started it.
There are some quality tunes here if you like this style and the
graphics are quite nice too.
Enjoy the demo from HD.
