This install applies to "Sound Atax Vol. 3" © 1990 Magnetic Fields.
Requirements:
-------------
This install requires WHDLoad and DIC to be in the path.
These programs can be found in the WHDLoad package.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed demo requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+0.9 MB for preload)
It can be quit by pressing Del (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
Features:
---------

- Access faults fixed
- All OS stuff patched
- Self-modifying code fixed
- Decrunchers (Defjam 3.2, ByteKiller) relocated to fast memory
- Interrupts fixed
- DMA settings fixed
- Byte write to volume register in replayer fixed
- ColdCapture patching disabled
- Reset patched to quit back to DOS
- Hidden parts can be enabled with CUSTOM1 and CUSTOM2 tooltypes
- Source code included as usual
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'Del')
Last in the Sound Atax series as far as I know. Patched it this morning
while enjoying my coffee. :) There were quite a few access faults to
fix, the routine to draw the analyser wrote to invalid memory locations,
the sin table access in one of the hidden parts used .l to read the sin/cos
values witout clearing the index register which of course wasn't exactly
good. Other than that not much had to be done but fixing those problems
took quite a while!
There are 2 hidden parts which could be activated by pressing right/left mouse
button during loading, these can be enabled with CUSTOM1 and CUSTOM2.
They aren't anything special though, just some bog-standard vector routines.
To select the tunes press keys F1-F10, this is mentioned nowhere in the
demo!
All tunes have been crunched with ByteKiller, I have relocated the decruncher
and added an error check, WHDLoad will quit with an appropriate error message
if decrunching fails. The executables are crunched with Defjam Packer 3.2,
I have relocated these decrunchers as well.
You can download the demo here:

Enjoy it from HD and have a nice weekend everyone.
