This install applies to "Music for Fools" © 1992 Ghost.
This install requires WHDLoad and RawDIC to be in the path.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed demo requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+1.3 MB OtherMem for preload).
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
- Full load from HD (real files!)
- OS stuff patched
- Read from DMACON fixed
- Random generator recoded (relied on raster beam position)
- DMA wait in replayer fixed (x8)
- Bplcon0 color bit fixed (x6)
- Intro can be skipped with CUSTOM1
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Source code included as usual
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10')
Well, this is not the best music disk to say it nicely. The code for
the 4-bitplane zoomer in the intro has been made by Weaponmaster/Cytax
and was published in I.C.E., the starfield in the intro uses 1:1 the
same code McDeal published in Hack Mag, the "PRESENTS" logo style has
been ripped from Uno/Scoopex, the code to load a song in the main part
is incredibly bad (why use a simple table when you can copy/paste the
same "load tune" code for every tune, bloated code is nice after all *cough*)
and I could go on and on. The music isn't exactly great either but that's
a matter of taste of course.
Well, check this music disk yourself and make up your own mind about it.
