This install applies to "Music Disk" © 1989 Escape.
This install requires WHDLoad to be in the path.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed demo requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+0.7 MB OtherMem for preload).
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
- Full load from HD
- OS stuff patched (file loading)
- Display problems fixed (see below)
- DMA wait in replayer fixed
- Byte write to volume register fixed
- DMA settings fixed
- Bplcon0 color bit fixes (x4)
- Timing fixed
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Source code included
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is F10)
Another old music disk is now patched, there are quite some nice
tunes here specially considered the release date. Code is more
or less fine but the coder didn't set any DIWSTRT/STOP and DDFSTRT/STOP
registers at all which means the window area was defined by the system
copperlist. Took me a little while to fix as I first didn't have any
idea why the lower part of the screen (with the song names) wasn't
displayed at all. DMA wasn't enabled either so coder was, again, lucky
that this was done by OS. Other than that there were no major problems.
All files in the "data" directory can be packed with any of the crunchers
supported by WHDLoad (FImp, ProPack etc.).
Enjoy the music disk from HD.
